Homework Week 31: May 17-21
Bonjour!
We have caterpillars (les chenilles) in our classroom! We will watch them grow (grandir), molt (changer la peau), make a chrysalis (faire une chrysalide) and transform into butterflies (se transformer en papillons)!
Vocab: Our vocabulary sheet this week shows the words for parts of both the caterpillar and butterfly. On the back of the sheet is an explanation of the life cycle of the butterfly. While reviewing the vocab, please also have your child read (as best they can) the explanation on the back.
The words to focus on from the brown envelope are below. I suggest using words in the envelope to piece together sentences. I have noticed that they like to make “silly” sentences and this may also make the activity more fun.

Writing: There is no written homework for this week.
Math: We are starting geometry. Have a look around your house and maybe in the neighbourhood while driving for things in the shape of a cube, sphere, cone, cylinder and rectangular prism.
